Stamina is vital because it allows your Warlock to a gain and maintain a large amount of Mana, letting the Warlock to cast their spells more freely.
The perfect example of this in action is the use of Life Tap in conjunction with the Warlock’s Life Drain spell.
The idea is when you use your Life Tap, you can restore the lost health by using Life Drain on your opponent. So while you are replacing your health, you are decreasing the health pool of your enemy. This tactic is central to your Warlock being able to kill on a continual basis without having the need to stop and heal up or to replenish their Mana.
Gear
First and foremost you will need to pick up gear that has Stamina. This is the base for the strategy of Drain tanking that was mentioned above. Next up, you will want to look for Spell Damage for your Warlock. The third statistic you should look for on your gear is Intellect. This will help push your Mana pool even further and allow you to run and kill without fear of losing any Mana.
The one thing to remember is leveling a Warlock is different than leveling a Mage. You do not need to find gear with Hit rating or Crit Chance as you progress to level 80.
Glyphs
When you are choosing your Major Glyphs for your Warlock, first one on your list should be Corruption. This glyph will allow you to
You can follow it up with Felguard and Metemorphosis.
As for Minor Glyphs, some of the better choices for Warlocks are Enslave Demon, Unending Breath, and Drain Soul.
Strategy Tips
While you are power leveling your Warlock, it is important to use your Wand when needed. Not only will this allow you to conserve your Mana it will help reduce the amount of aggro you are taking from your pet.
Make sure to use you Fear spells with care. The last thing you want is to Fear your enemy into another mob and bring the surprise back to you.
You will want to use an Add-on for your Damage over Time spells or Dots. You can find various ones at Curse.com that will help show how much time is left on each of your Dots. These work better than the little icon by the target’s portrait.
