Changes to Expect for Feral Cat Druids in World of Warcraft Expansion Cataclysm
October 13th 2010 13:58
The release of Cataclysm, the new expansion for World of Warcraft, is less than a few months away and that means it is time to take a look at the various changes Blizzard has made for the Cat form of Feral Druids.
For starters, like the other classes, when your character reaches level 10, you will need to make the decision to select from one of the talent tress; Restoration, Balance, and Feral.
The first thing you will notice in the Feral talent tree is that Blizzard has reduced the number of Talent points and has altered or removed several talents from the game.
The talent Fury Swipes has been added to the arsenal of the Feral Druid. This allows your Cat to have a chance to receive an extra attack for every auto attack made. While it may not seem much when it comes to the way of damage, you may see this extra attack helping you proc certain types of weapon enchants or the Druid’s Omen of Clarity.
On the downside, Improved Leader of the Pack has been removed from the Feral talent tree. This was the perfect talent for Feral Cat Druids when they were off soloing through quests.
Another talent to keep an eye on is Endless Carnage. With this passive talent, your Feral Druid will receive an additional six seconds on your attacks, like Rake, Savage Roar, and Pulverize.
The last thing to remember about the Cataclysm changes for your Feral Druid is that several statistics have been changed in World of Warcraft.
Blizzard has removed Attack Power from most items, so Feral Druids need to focus on items, enchants, and gems that have higher levels of agility. Y
ou should also keep an eye on your Haste Rating. Melee classes, like the Feral Druid, will find that a higher Haste rating will help increase your recover time for your energy pool.
No worries though if you need to make changes on gear you spent time gathering prior to the release of Cataclysm. You will be able to visit a NPC who can reforge your gear to make it more appropriate to the new statistical changes.
